Checklist

Eight-Point Checklist Before You Invest

  1. Decide your purpose: home to build, or land to hold.

  3. Verify RERA, title and layout approval.
  4. Prefer projects with delivered infrastructure or strong delivery records.
  5. Compare rates on a like-for-like basis using our rates guide.
  6. Budget all-in costs and annual holding costs.
  7. Keep documents ready for loans and resale.

Super Corridor Indore Property Investment: FAQs

Demand, risks and tax.

The corridor has real demand drivers: IT campuses, universities, the metro and road upgrades linked to Simhastha 2028. It also has risks: approvals, execution timelines and the pace of neighbourhood development. This guide is general information, not investment advice.

Under current income-tax law, a plot held for more than 24 months is a long-term capital asset. For transfers on or after 23 July 2024, long-term gains are taxed at 12.5% without indexation; resident individuals and HUFs who acquired property before that date may choose 20% with indexation if lower. Short-term gains are taxed at slab rates. Consult a tax advisor.

Property tax, maintenance charges in gated projects, and the opportunity cost of money invested. Plots do not generate rent unless built on.
